Ecological garden care in London

Gardens that work with nature, not against it

Biosphere Gardens offers ecological garden maintenance, transformation and regeneration for Londoners who want their gardens to restore soil health, support pollinators and grow into resilient, self-sustaining ecosystems.

Chapter I · Mission

Reconnecting people with the planet

A garden can be more than a view from the window. Tended with ecology in mind, it becomes part of the answer to a changing climate.

Our mission is to reconnect people with the planet through ecological gardening that restores soil health, supports pollinators and builds resilient communities. Every part of the work starts from one idea: a garden becoming an ecosystem.

  • Soil

Restoring the health of the living ground every garden depends on.

  • Pollinators

Supporting the bees and other pollinators that move between London's gardens.

  • Resilience

Building gardens that can sustain themselves, and communities that grow around them.

Chapter II · Services

Three ways to begin

Ecological garden care in three forms. Open each one to see where it might fit your garden.

Maintenance

Ongoing ecological care that tends what already grows, with the soil and the wildlife that depend on it in mind.

Suited to gardens that are already established. The aim is attentive care that keeps soil, plants and wildlife in balance, rather than tidying nature away.

Transformation

Reshaping a garden so it can work as an ecosystem rather than against one.

For spaces ready for a new direction. Transformation looks at how a garden could support soil life and pollinators, then plans the changes that get it there.

Regeneration

Bringing life back to tired ground, beginning with the health of the soil.

For gardens where the ground needs care first. Regeneration focuses on restoring soil health so planting can establish and the garden can become more self-sustaining.

Chapter III · How it works

Layer by layer, a garden comes alive

Three steps, each one building on the last, the way an ecosystem gathers its layers.

  1. Step 01

    Listen & observe

Every garden starts with attention: listening to what you want from the space, and observing the soil, light, planting and wildlife already there.

  2. Step 02

    Plan with ecology

Shaping a plan around how the garden can work as an ecosystem: healthier soil, planting for pollinators and a structure that can sustain itself.

  3. Step 03

    Establish, care & regenerate

Putting the plan into the ground, then tending it so soil, plants and wildlife grow more resilient together, season after season.

Field note

A garden becoming an ecosystem

Healthy soil, flowering plants and the wildlife they feed all work together. Tended with patience, a London garden can grow into a resilient, self-sustaining place that gives back to the city around it.

Chapter IV · Begin

Begin with a garden consultation

Tell us about your garden and what you hope it could become. A consultation is the first step towards ecological care, transformation or regeneration.
